Crazy but true, this hip-hop artist has some incredibly motivational lyrics for people quietly struggling and in need of that extra bit of strength to go on with life.
Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) was born as Richard Colson Baker in Houston 1990. The American rapper and actor’s interest in hip-hop began as a child, listening to Ludacris, Eminem and DMX. He began his musical career soon after as a teenager, releasing a mixtape in 2006 and garnering a large following ever since.
MGK went on to release four more mixtapes before securing a recording contract with Bad Boy and Interscope Records in 2011. A year later he released his major label debut album Lace Up which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart. It contained the singles Wild Boy, Invincible, Stereo and Hold On (Shut Up).
His next four albums; General Admission, Bloom, Hotel Diablo and Tickets to My Downfall have continued to wow fans and critics with positive responses and huge hits such as Till I Die, Bad Things with Camila Cabello, Hollywood Whore and El Diablo.
Also an actor, MGK made his film debut in the 2014 romantic drama Beyond the Lights and has appeared in several other films with recurring roles on Showtime series Roadies in 2016.
