Born Armando Christian Perez in Florida 1981, Pitbull is an American rapper, record producer and singer and an inspirational source for hip hop fans.
He first released his debut album M.I.A.M.I in 2004 under TVT Records and has since then received fame worldwide. His 2009 album Pitbull Starring in Rebelution saw the breakthrough hit single I Know You Want Me, peak at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2011 he released Planet Pit which featured his first US number one single Give Me Everything.
His fame grew rapidly when a prominent performance at the FIFA World Cup Football in Brazil in 2014 introduced him to every corner of the world. Pitbull performed the song We Are One with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte at the opening ceremony.
Pitbull’s other ventures include being a brand ambassador for various entities, activism and philanthropy in the Latino American community and his radio station Pitbull’s Globalization.
Today, Pitbull has sold over 7.5 million studio albums and over 100 million singles worldwide. He was ranked by Billboard as the 45th Top Artist of the 2010s and the 24th Top Latin Artist of the 2010s.
